Bayer AG, one of the largest chemical companies in the world, recognized the energy saving potential of Electronic Control Gear (ECG) right from the beginning. In 1982, the company began to convert the lighting in their production facilities and offices from CCGs to ECGs. Throughout the last two decades, 150,000 QUICKTRONIC ECGs have been installed with only a 4% failure rate. If we relate this low failure rate to the average service life, OSRAM QUICKTRONIC ECGs have lasted for more than 100,000 hours in this installation thus, high quality OSRAM ECGs last as long as the luminaires themselves.
